Artist's Biography

As a Toronto-based nature photographer, specializing in wildlife, scenery and flora, I am inspired and always amazed by the beauty and many faces of nature. Photography has been a passion since childhood, but it is only in recent years that I have concentrated my efforts on developing my self-taught skills and exhibiting my work.

I photograph simple, everyday scenes or try to capture those unique and often fleeting moments in nature. What I refer to as those “Zhivago moments” is when I have an idea for a photograph, or see something that is so incredibly beautiful or fascinating. Whether it’s the image itself, the colour, the shape, or the feeling it evokes – it’s like a shot of adrenaline. Sometimes a scene can be quite emotional, exciting, humbling or can simply leave me awestruck …nature is so incredible.

My work is sold locally at several retail outlets, including The Bluffs Gallery, The Framing Dames, Earthsong Music & World Gifts, at local community events and through my website.

Having lived in Scarborough most of my life, Bluffers Park has always been one of my favourite places. Over the years, I have seen many changes there, but also see an analogy between Bluffers and my own life and photography …constantly in a process of growth and change.
